Bring the family to ACMI for a day packed full of free activities that explore the immersive and interactive world of video games. Play a range of exciting game titles, many of which were created locally. Delve into the world of Virtual Reality, get your hands dirty with fun craft activities or just chill out with our giant board games. We have family workshops on game-making including Minecraft and coding drop-ins, and you can even dress up as your favourite game characters and win fantastic prizes whilst sharing in the fun of yesterday with a host of nostalgic retro gaming gear.

  • Challenge your family members with gameplay on our giant Lightwell screen. Discover who is the fastest and most furious with the ever popular racing game Mario Kart, have a dance battle with Just Dance or build a fantasy farm with Funky Barn.

    Experience the immersive realm of Virtual Reality - take a dive into the deep ocean with The Blu, build a robotic dog or shrink yourself to journey human body in The Lab, or even build your own awe-inspiring 3D world. Jump into the incredibly popular blocky world of Minecraft, and hear first-hand from the experts on how to take your pixel creations to the next level.

    Try out your skills on the rails with Train Conductor, rewind time in The Gardens Between and get your pulse racing with Crossy Road as you explore an exciting and fun series of iPad games created by a range of Victorian games developers Venture into the world of game design, coding and development with our Future Game Designers corner, or use your hands to build wonderful Cubecraft creations.
