Featuring filmmakers, producers, MCs and community activists, this special event goes beyond the microphone to explore how video is used in Australian hip hop music and culture.
Discover insight into hip hop's broad musical and cultural movement, often championed by the young and outspoken, and hear from rising and more established talent in Melbourne who are using video to document, celebrate and express their own unique style of hip hop.
Screening and then discussing their work with MC Yung Philly, our guest panel includes director of Obese TV, Lindsey Martin; MC and co-founder of Sud Media, Ezeldin Deng; music video director, Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore; and MC, producer and mentor from Rising High Studios, Motley.
This unique Australia Day event includes live performances from up and coming hip hop talent and is a fantastic companion event to Spectacle: The Music Video Exhibition.
