In 1986, Jim Jarmusch shot the first short film Coffee and Cigarettes starring the unlikely duo of Roberto Benigni and comedian Steven Wright. Over the best part of the next decade, he produced numerous short films with an array of stars, each playing fictionalized versions of themselves. Hilarious and full of stellar performances, each vignette - stunningly shot in black and white - beautifully links these tall tales and brief encounters.
