As you’d expect there’s a good amount of irreverence as Henson and his team take on stories that we know and love.
Henson manages to reinvent both the characters and stories for audiences of all ages. In amongst them all there’s great character work: Prince Charming in Rapunzel (in fact, that whole story) is a complete riot as things spiral more and more out of control. Little Miss Muffet and her waterbed (as opposed to her tuffet) is also mighty funny.
Binding the program together – as is the case throughout Henson’s career – is our green pal Kermit as he takes us through this special take on these classic tales.
Thankfully they could put Humpty Dumpty back together again.
