The Adventures of Tintin

Action violence

3 Dec - 11 Dec

Based on three of Hergé’s best selling graphic novels (The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham’s Treasure), director Stephen Spielberg worked closely alongside Lord of the Rings impresario Peter Jackson, to bring these well-loved books together, through the technology of motion capture, to the big screen.

Tickets: Full $7. Member $5.
  • Racing to uncover the secrets of a sunken ship that may hold a vast fortune, but also an ancient curse, Tintin and his loyal dog Snowy embark on an action-packed journey around the world, with a cast of colourful characters in tow including Captain Haddock (Andy Serkis), Red Rackham (Daniel Craig), and the bumbling, bowler-hatted almost identical detectives Thompson and Thompson (Nick Frost and Simon Pegg).

“Serving up a good ol' fashioned adventure flick that harkens back to the filmmaker's action-packed, tongue-in-cheek swashbucklers of the 1980s, Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin... is a visually dazzling adaptation.” Jordan Mintzer, The Hollywood Reporter

Look out for an exclusive selection of Tintin mechandise available in the ACMI store.
