The Boys is a screenplay adaptation of the controversial stage play of the same name by playwright Gordon Graham
“Wenham, who played Brett onstage, is chilling in the role. The actor… gets right under the skin of his alarming character. [Toni] Collette gives her best screen performance to date as Michelle, a hard-boiled young woman whose confidence erodes as the day proceeds. Polson’s maddeningly compliant Glenn and Hayes’ quite hopeless Stevie are other vivid characters in a flawless ensemble.” - David Stratton, Variety

This session will be followed by a Q&A with producer Robert Connolly.
Brett Sprague (David Wenham) returns to his family home after twelve months in jail. Things have changed while he has been away – his brother Glen (John Polson) has moved out with his girlfriend Jackie, younger brother Stevie’s (Anthony Hayes) pregnant girlfriend Nola now lives with the family and his mother Sandra has taken on a Maori drifter. Re-united with his brothers, Brett uses his first day back to restore order.
