The Sapphires combines music, comedy and storytelling to focus on personal growth and independence, friendship and the challenges of being a young Aboriginal woman in the context of the 1960s. The talk explores these themes with reference to narrative techniques, film language and the building of character.
Admission: $10 per student (min 30 students, max 160 students)
Program Duration: This program runs for approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. This includes a screening of the film, a short interval and a 40 minute lecture.
