Roman Polanski's acclaimed screen adaptation of Macbeth is recognised for the boldness and originality of its interpretation. The program provides students with valuable insight into the complexities of Shakespeare's tragedy, as well as an opportunity to consider the decisions made when adapting this classic work.
The lecture focuses on language and themes, while also drawing attention to Polanski's distinctive and sometimes controversial 'reading' of the play.

Program Duration: This program runs for approximately 3 hours and 40 minutes. This includes a screening of the film, a short interval and a 60 minute lecture.
